Mailing List

The mailing list works by sending a single message to a subscribed group. Lets say Bob sends a list of fixtures to seagulls@seagulls.org.uk. That email will be then sent on to the complete list of subscribers (in real time). The other members can read and reply to this message by simply hitting ‘reply’ within their email program, this then gets sent back again to the whole list. You don’t have to contribute, you can simply ‘lurk’ and join in when you want.

Option 1 – Join the single list (daily list)

This will allow you to receive messages as they are sent, we get a fair amount of traffic per day so be warned if you use a work address. It is advised you set up a filter in your mail program to move all your seagulls messages into a seperate folder unless you are happy for all your messages to land in your inbox.

Option 2 – Join the weekly list (digest)

This is a compressed version of the activity on the list in a week. It is one single email containing all of the emails sent over a weekly period – this will arrive, say, every Monday. This is ideal if you want to keep up with the news and banter but don’t want daily traffic.
